Ugh. I can't believe i'm doing this. oh well here it goes:
So I believe that makeup is fake. I mean, hello, it's called MAKE UP. like, as in you're making it up... ya know? Buttttt.... I also believe that I look terrible without it. And BTW I have nothing against it. It's just that it's fake. Kapish?
Well, I don't like those full-on foundation faces that look like plaster. You literally look like you're wearing a mask, and honestly it's kinda creepy... I believe that makeup is made to enhance your beauty, not create or cover it. I think that a little concealer to cover your under-eye-circles or acne, a little blush to cheer up your face, and some eyeliner and mascara to make you look alive can do a lot, without creating a whole new face. But then again you have to make sure you don't get too carried away.
It's hard. If you're a guy, trust me in this... it's HARD. It's like you start the day thinking, "oh i don't look
that bad... maybe i'll not wear makeup today..." then you go downstairs and look in a mirror and notice a few things you'd like to fix... so then you decide, "hmm... i'll just wear a little concealer today." BUT THEN you decide that you want a little more than just concealer... today's the day for a perfect face. So you pull out your foundation and slather it all over, covering up that beautiful skin God gave you. Meh. Now you look like a flat creepy creature from the underworld. Then you give into 'just a little' blush and bronzer. You're good now. But wait, are you good? you take another look in that mortifying thing we call a mirror and decide that while you're at it, why not just do your eyes too? If you didn't you'd look like a weirdo who forgot it! {at least that's what you tell yourself.} So you do your eyeshadow and mascara and then decide that eyeliner would make your eyes pop just a little more. *
sigh* you're done now. Thank God. Now you go back down stairs and check the mirror one more time... something's missing. So you run back upstairs and add a little lipstick or whatever. Now that you created a mask, covered up your whole face so not a stitch of pure skin is showing, and wasted an hour of your life, do you feel better? I doubt it. You probably feel worse, actually.
Haha sorry folks, that turned into a story. ;p Anyways you catch my drift? It's always like, "oh, one more thing couldn't hurt! why not?" and you don't always need one more thing. eventually all it does is ruin your beauty. Now, don't think i'm harping at any certain one of you... i'm certainly not. I'm guilty too. All these products of today promise so much and truly give so little. there are lotions and potions that promise to make 80 year olds look like they're 20 again and ones that say they'll make your lips bigger, and ones that say they'll make your eye color look brighter and there are things that promise to make you look like a photoshopped super model. But is that really what you want? What's wrong with smile wrinkles? It shows you've lived a happy life. What's wrong with your lips? Did God make them wrong? I certainly don't think so. I think that you are beautiful, just the way you are. God doesn't make mistakes. He knows His plan for you and he made you to be YOU. Not a clone of somebody else. You're unique, your 'flaws' are what make you different. They aren't flaws, they're beauty marks.
So I found the
Naked Face Challenge that
Deanna is hosting. I think it's cool, i love what it stands for. So I summoned up the guts and i took that picture. I just woke up, my hair is all natural, no products or heat tools used. My face hasn't been touched since i washed it the night before. I'm me. I'm proud. I don't want to be liked for what i look like, i want people to love me for who i am. Without further adeu... here's my face:
 |
| no makeup |
That's me with no exceptions.* I have dark circles under my eyes. I have zits. My eyebrows are complete different shapes. But none the less, it's me. The same person i am in these next pictures, believe it or not. {i figured i'd add these in}

no editing
full editing and makeup |
So there you have it. I guess I'm tired of only showing you guys my fake face. I never let an un-edited picture of me touch the internet. You all were saying how pretty i am and stuff, well, i felt bad about it. it's sorta lying if you comprende. It's saying that that is what i look like, and it's really not. i look like the person in the second picture {I haven't left the house without makeup on for about 2 years. yeah. it's sad. so none of my friends have seen
plane jane me either.}
Alrighty... I'm off to go do something awesome with my day. yeahnomaybenot. i'll probably just clean my room. :D fun-fun, right?!
You in? I challenge you to take the
Naked Face Challenge :) K? Let me know if you do!!!
* = {haha i love the "
no exceptions!" and then the "
here's an exception" sign} ok i kinda sorta waited until my skin got a lot clearer to take that pic. Trust me... that was my lucky day. I usually have big red THINGS all over cuz that's how being a teenager is. So yeah... my only exception is that i waited a month or two just to find a day when my skin looked ok. :P
