Sponsor Spotlight: Haley's World

Hi Live.Love.Crafters!!! Hope you all are having a fabulous day so far. My name is Hayley, and I've just started blogging over at Hayley's World. I actually started the blog last October, but with my husband being deployed and all the holidays that were coming up there was no time.
I have been married just over 9 years (with him for over 11). We have 2 great, but crazy kids, a boy who will be 7 next month and a girl who is 2.5. I have been a stay at home mom every since my first one was born.

I'm still trying to find my place in the blog world. But mostly the blog is/will be crafts, cooking, kids, life. :) I'm not a fasionista by any means so no clothing posts from me, except maybe a WWIW.

I am currently not on Facebook...gave it up for Lent. I'm actually liking it so not sure if I'll go back or not, maybe just for a blog page. I am getting more into Twitter so for sure find me on there.

Wanna learn a little more about me? Check out my 11 Things posts on my blog.
Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me! I look forward to getting to know you all. :)

Hayley

I just love Hayley and her blog! Isn't her family adorable?! Their little girl's sunglasses bring me back to when i was little... *sigh* Anyways, why don't you head over there and read more about her family and some crafts HERE. :D

//sponsor spotlight: The Mrs//

Here is one of my new lovely sponsors this month! I'm so glad that Megan emailed me because she's honestly one of the nicest, loveliest bloggers I know! And on top of that, she's drop dead gorgeous!!! :) I can't wait to see her baby!

Hi there!   My name is Megan and I am the voice behind The Mrs. Over at my blog I like to chit chat about random things, but most recently my topics have been pregnancy, faith, and babies!! You see, I'm expecting my first-born in April of this year, and couldn't be more excited! I'm learning to lean on God and my faith in Him through this time as I learn about mother-hood.
I enjoy crafting & repurposing, too! My husband and I are in the process of creating our custom nursery. My bedding is all handmade by yours truly, and we have a mural up that I painted, too! We cannot wait to get it finished because we have so many fun projects ahead of us.
One of my features over at The Mrs is my "iBelieve" linky party. Each week I pick a topic concerning my faith and I just write what the Lord tells me. It is a linky party, yes... So come join in on Mondays!
Another feature is my Mommy Thoughts Thursday. On Thursdays I ask questions. Lots of questions about baby stuffs and mommy stuffs. This has been a great resource for me, and once baby girl is born, I will revisit them and share my experiences!  I recently opened a shop, too! In my shop you will find an array of creations! My sister is a photographer, and she is always looking for fun new props for me to make her! I'm also inspired by things that are natural & and vintage, but love the bright colors of life as well. Be sure to check it out! I don't do it for the money, I do it because I love to create, so my prices are reasonable!
If you ever have any questions feel free to contact me!

Sponsor: Pleats & Pintucks

It's kind of a funny story... you know how i don't tell anyone about my blog right? I don't. My bestest best friend who's crafty too knows about it and her parents. that's about it. My parents told some of my aunts and uncles and stuff but for the most part i don't like people i know in real life reading my blog. I don't have a real reason but idk it's just my thing :) Anyways i got an email one day from a lovely old friend i haven't seen much in the past few years, apparently she found my blog and loves it and is starting a new one. What a coincidence, right? She was looking up DIY flower hair clips and found one of my tutorials!!! Anyways, it was great to be talking to each other again and she's now one of my sponsors! Without further adeu, here's my bestie Caroline:

So, hi. :) My name’s Caroline and I blog over at Pleats and Pintucks. I actually just started the blog (and I do have to say that although I had created my blog already, when I discovered Alyssa’s blog, I just had to start posting. Because she’s just that awesome and she so inspired me. Don’t y’all just love her?? I’m so blessed to know her personally! :) and I’ve only got like eleven posts or something. And four followers. But still, I really like it. :) I think I should stop doing smiley faces now and really say something.
I’m fifteen years old and Catholic and homeschooled. I like to diy and sew (anything that’s cute). And I spend waaay too much time reading other people’s blogs or surfing for cool projects. I loved 2011 mainly because I finally lived a dream…I went to France. Paris was, truly, people, all it’s cracked up to be. You can read a little about it here. My post is the first one. The blog was created as a one-time thing, so I don’t expect to be posting anything else. But anyhoo. Back to craftiness. I really enjoy creating bags…I think that’s pretty much the main thing I make…because I just can’t get enough. Like shoes, you know? Love accessories. I also like making clothes…
I’d love for you to follow my blog and thanks for reading this little blurb!
Thanks to Alyssa too for the best crafty blog out there and for letting little ol’ me be a sponsor!

I’ve decided to share a crazy-easy tutorial with you for a headband. It’s really not even considered a tutorial in my book, but it does show I’m kind of crafty (heh.heh.), right?
1. Find (or buy) a comfortable headband.
2. Get out the glue gun and buy (or find) some trim or ribbon.

3. Starting at one end, put a dot of glue on the back of the headband and put the edge of the trim on to seal it off (ya know what I mean?).

4. Working in sections, put glue on the outside of the headband (where you want the trim) and wrap the trim around, making sure to stick it to the glue.
5. Finish the last edge the same way you started (again, you’ll know what I mean).
 6. Put on! And don’t take silly pictures of yourself, like I did.

And, because I love you, here’s some pictures of other headbands I’ve diyed:
I glued on a sparkly flower pin here…

And did the white trim again, this time with a bow, here..

And this is one of my favorites – black velvet with a bow

And a gold glitter headband. ;)

So yeah, go out there and make (literally!) instant-gratification crafts! And visit my blog while you’re at it, because I’d love to check out yours!

Go check out her new blog, Pleats & Pintucks, and follow along! I know she'll have a ton of great tutorials and such some day soon :) She also has a in-the-works shop for her hand-sewn purses, clutches, and more! Go to her blog to check it out!

xoxo

Call For Sponsors & My Blog Makeover!

Are you guys totally digging the new blog makeover? I seriously can't believe it's even my blog. Want the scoop on where i got it? Yeah... I thought so ;)
That's my new header.... i love it. :) Kelsey did a fantastic job! Ok... so I follow Kelsey's blog, Simply Beautiful, and one day i was searching around and found her design site. So then i looked around her design site... and decided to order a little blog makeover package! Best decision ever. :) She has a few different packages starting at just $5 {and that includes a header, button, and 'about me' in your sidebar!}! As of now... her highest price which is for EVERYTHING is only $15! That's the best deal you'll find anywhere, and she's just as good as those people who charge hundreds!

So if you're in need of a blog makeover... head on over to Simply Designful and order one! A few things I noticed about Kelsey... A) she listened to everything i said i wanted! B) she worked quickly C) she totally worked with me to make sure i got what I wanted. That's awesome. When she's famous I'm going to be proud to say I was the first one to order a blog makeover from her :)

Ok... on to that other boring business... :P sponsoring. you know you want too :) Haha just kidding! Buttttt... for those of you who own shops/blogs and you'd like more traffic, i think you will probably be interested in advertising on my blog!
Ok, so here's the deal. I don't have many paying sponsors. Which I kinda sorta really need. {I could go on and on... but I'll just say that i need some money for a few things i'm doing. ok... I'll go on and on a bit more ;) sorry! Alrighty, so I'm trying to start this thing w/ donating to the homeless, and I have no money to donate or to start this thing. Number two... lol the never ending need (want) for craft supplies and thrift store junk. yup.} So... i'm going to lower the rates a bit and hope *pray* that a few of you lovely people will buy some sponsor spots :)

Stats anyone?

I’m so excited to tell you about this new sponsor!  MiniHandmade has a ton of super cute mini polymer clay items! From rings to magnets, they’ve got it all! I love the look of miniature clay food… I’ve tried making it before, and trust me, it takes a pro to be as good as MiniHandmadeMiniHandmade’s items are all great deals!  They have sales all the time, plus items start at just 2$!

Lets take a look at some of my favorites:

I love this pink rose ring! The sparkles make it really stand out!

These mini veggie charms are to die for!  They’d be great on a bracelet for a gardener, or, heck, just for anyone!

Check out these lovely white rose earrings!

I’m dying for all of these rose clips… you could easily dress them up or down.

MiniHandmade also has necklaces, key chains, bracelets, and beads!  I’d say my favorite things are the food tray magnets… you can just tell they put a ton of work into them!  I mean… look at all of the different elements that went into making this…

{you know what would be awesome? A bacon shaped into a heart on a necklace...}

So I got this super adorable cake necklace! Umm... soo cute! And it came on my birthday, which makes it even better!

See how small the stuff actually is! So awesome!

Head on over to MiniHandmade’s etsy shop and get something!  Their stuff would be great for gifts, too.
